What ContractReview is

ContractReview takes a contract PDF or pasted text plus a few inputs (contract type, your role, jurisdiction) and returns a structured summary: clauses that commonly cause problems, things worth negotiating, clauses that look standard, suggested questions to ask, and a rough risk score. The output is delivered as HTML and PDF and emailed to you.

The patterns it flags are common red flags identified across millions of contracts: auto-renewal traps, broad indemnification, unilateral amendment rights, unenforceable non-competes, IP grabs, vague scope. Flagging a clause is not the same as saying it is illegal — and missing a clause is not the same as saying it is safe.

What ContractReview is NOT

It is not a law firm and does not provide legal services.
It does not create an attorney-client relationship.
It does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or jurisdiction-specific compliance.
It does not customize for your industry, your specific deal terms, or the leverage between parties.
It cannot read between the lines on side agreements, oral promises, or course-of-dealing context.
It is not a substitute for an attorney before signing high-stakes contracts.

When to consult an attorney instead

The output is best treated as a sanity check, not the final word. You should engage a qualified attorney — not just a $5 review — if any of the following apply:

The contract involves real estate purchase, mortgage, or commercial lease over multi-year terms.
The contract is an employment offer with equity, RSUs, options, or executive compensation.
The contract is a partnership / co-founder / operating agreement for a business.
The contract is for an M&A transaction, fundraise, or major investment.
The contract involves healthcare, finance, government, or other regulated industries.
You are negotiating against a counterparty with significantly more leverage and the dollars at stake exceed your appetite to lose.
You suspect the other party has acted in bad faith or you anticipate litigation.

Verifying any flagged clause by reading it in context.
Determining whether the review is appropriate for your jurisdiction and circumstances.
Consulting an attorney for any clause that affects more than you are willing to lose.
Not over-relying on the risk score — it is a heuristic, not a guarantee.

No warranty

ContractReview output is provided "as is" with no warranty of fitness for any purpose, completeness, accuracy, or compliance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stromation (the operator of ContractReview) and its affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the output.

Refunds

The review is generated and delivered immediately on payment, so the $5 fee is generally non-refundable. If something is technically broken (no review delivered, corrupted output, file failed to upload), email contact@stromation.com and we will redo it for free or refund.

Privacy

Your contract is sent to our processing pipeline (OpenAI for analysis), used only to generate the review, then deleted. We do not store your file, do not train models on it, and do not share it with anyone. The metadata of your purchase (email, contract type, jurisdiction) is retained in our payment records as required for accounting.
